WHAT IS REAL LIFE SELF DEFENSE?

Real Life Self Defense is a program designed to rapidly teach men, women and children how to protect themselves against a violent attack.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING AND REAL LIFE SELF DEFENSE?

Martial arts training takes a long period of time to become proficient. The scenario in which you train is unrealistic. For example, in martial arts you are not allowed to hit with full force. There is an instructor to limit how "hard" you can physically train. Real Life Self Defense encourages you to hit an instructor wearing protective gear with full force in order to gain a sense of body mechanics and your own physical potential. We put you in a "scenario-based" situation and teach you how to defend yourself in realistic situations.

HOW LONG WOULD I NEED TO TRAIN TO FEEL MORE CONFIDENT?

A person can become proficient in as little as three to four hours. This is because the individual is not inundated and overwhelmed with many techniques. There is no strict form.

HOW WOULD THIS BENEFIT ME?

Real Life Self Defense arms you with a few simple self-defense techniques and then gives you the opportunity to actually apply these weapons in a high-pressured "scenario-based" situation. You will learn how to "shock and escape" in order to get away and survive a violent attack.

HOW WOULD A MAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM?

Most men have at some time experienced some sort of physical altercation. Taking this course will help a man prepare for the mental aspect of a physical attack as well as the physical aspects of fighting.

WHAT MAKES PAUL MORMANDO QUALIFIED TO TEACH THIS COURSE?

After having become a world-class martial artist with over twenty years of martial arts experience, and having witnessed a great number of street fights, Mormando has been able to find what is missing from martial arts training. He has combined the psychological aspects of real fighting with the physical elements of self-defense. He has been researching this program for the past five years and has developed what he feels to be the simplest and most direct approach to self-defense.

IS ANYONE TOO SMALL, TOO OLD OR TOO YOUNG FOR THIS CLASS?

NO! Anyone of any age or size can learn ways to protect themselves against an attacker. A woman who has taken Real Life Self Defense will surprise and unbalance a predator who expects that the so-called "inferior" physical characteristics of a woman pose no threat to him. His overconfidence and her basic knowledge will be her advantage. The same holds true for an elderly person or a child who is trained in this method. Your key tool is your attacker's overconfidence.
